SENIORS!!!
1) The Olympic graduation dates have been set! Mid-Year Graduation will be Wednesday January 30th at 7:30 at Bojangles Coliseum and the Class of 2019. Senior graduation will be on Thursday June 13th at 12 noon at Bojangles Coliseum. If you did not receive the text remind message with these important dates then please go on to the Olympic Counselor website and sign up to receive our relevant and timely text reminders for seniors and parents.
2) Senior meetings begin on Thursday November 1st and run through Wednesday November 14th. Each meeting will be with a senior and his/her counselor. Parents are welcome to attend but do not need to. The schedule was attached to a text remind message and there is also a copy of the schedule posted in front of the School Counseling office. Teachers have been informed of meeting times but students are responsible for going to counselor's offices at the assigned time.
3) Seniors will be getting information about how to order Caps and Gowns at an important assembly on Wednesday November 7th. The Cap and Gown company Herff Jones will also be on campus to take orders for Caps and Gowns during lunches on November 13th, 14th, and 15th. More details will follow.
4) The last day for seniors to sign the mid-year graduation contract is on November 16th. If you plan to graduate early, or if you changed your mind, please notify your counselor as soon as possible so we can have all contracts turned in on November 16th.
5) Seniors do you know exactly what you want to do next year? Awesome! If not then Olympic is having an "Undecided night" for seniors who still are not exactly sure that they want to do after graduation. We we will be hosting 15 different people representing options for what YOU can do after graduation. We have four different branches of the military attending, three different departments from CPCC, local colleges, and local employers where you can start a career right out of high school. Undecided night will be on Monday December 3rd in the Theater and Cafeteria at Olympic from 6-8 pm. For more information see your school counselor.
6) Lastly Olympic is hosting a Spanish Speaking College night on Monday December 3rd from 5-6 pm in the Media Center. Please invite any Spanish speaking family members or friends to attend and find out more about applying to college and paying for college.
